'Melly' Drinking Fountain Project
The Friends of Liverpool Monuments has acquired some funding and donations to
replace the missing heads to the following drinking fountains:

Wellington Monument
Lion
(The company Castle Fine Arts has been commissioned to cast this head)  

Byrom Street
Satyr
(The sculptor Tom Murphy has been commissioned to create a model)

Great Howard Street
Lion
(The company Castle Fine Arts has been commissioned to cast this head)

West Derby Road
Child
(The sculptor Tom Murphy has been commissioned to create a model)

Salthouse Dock
 
Women
(The sculptor Tom Murphy has been commissioned to create a model)

So far, we have had donations from; English Heritage, Graham Boxer, Patrick Neill, Robin Riley & Jenny Voce.

If we can get the funding/donations, we would also like to replace the heads to these 'Mellys':

My definition of a Melly Drinking Fountain:
1. It is a simple Drinking Fountain made of red Aberdeen Granite
2. It appears on Charles P. Melly's list of 1858
3. It was erected by Melly or his son between 1854 & 1889
