Picture taken on 26 April 2005, donated by Pat Neill

Inscription:
IN MEMORY OF
HENRY BOOTH,
BORN APRIL 4TH 1788,
DIED MARCH 28TH 1869,
WHOSE VIGOROUS CAPACITY AND VARIED INGENUITY,
FITLY COMMEMORATED BY THE RAILWAY SYSTEM
OF THE KINGDOM, WHICH HE DID MUCH TO ESTABLISH
AND TO PERFECT, NEED NO MEMORIAL STONE
TO KEEP THEM IN REMEMBERED.
BUT THAT HIS LOVE OF FREE AND REVERENT
RELIGIOUS THOUGHT, HIS LABOURS IN THE PROMOTION
OF POPULAR EDUCATION, NO LESS THAN THE SINGLENESS
OF HIS INTEGRITY AND THE SIMPLICITY OF HIS LIFE
MAY NOT BE FORGOTTEN,
THIS TABLET HAS BEEN ERECTED BY HIS FRIENDS

AND FELLOW WORSHIPPERS
