Would you like to find out the secrets of the cathedral? Now is your chance to find out more! Come to a Discovery Evening with the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Guides / Interpreters and Archivist and hear their amazing tales and ask them questions. This event is FREE and takes place in the Dining Room in the Western Rooms.
‘Creating a Cathedral’: An Evening of Conversations’
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Monday 23rd May, 7.00 p.m. for 7.30
Come and listen for FREE to a panel of international Architecture experts discuss the wonders and merits of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. Experts invited to this panel include: Emeritus Professor John Tarn OBE, DL (Former Roscoe Professor of Architecture at University of Liverpool); Dr. Rob MacDonald (Reader in Architecture at Liverpool John Moores University and Chairman of Liverpool Architectural Society); Gladys Masey-Martinez (Senior Lecturer in Architecture, Liverpool John Moores University); Dr. Emma Roberts (Course Leader of History of Art, Liverpool John Moores University); Dr. Emlyn Williams (Chairman of the Rodney Street Association); Joseph Sharples (Author of ‘Liverpool: Pevsner Architectural Guide’ 2004) as well as others. This will be a recorded conversation to uncover the triumphs of the architecture of the cathedral, and is open to the public.

Drinking Fountain Project
The Friends of Liverpool
Monuments has acquired some funding and donations to
replace the missing heads to the following drinking fountains:

So far, we have had donations from; English heritage, Graham Boxer, Patrick Neill, Robin Riley & Jenny Voce.
Due
to the theft of the bronze sculptors from Bank Hall Station, we have
decided that the replacement heads for the above Mellys will be either
resin or a stainless steel alloy with a bronze effect coating which will
have no
scrap metal value!
If we can get more funding/donations, we would also like to
place the heads
to these 'Mellys':
